Yep, that's me. That was my first hang gliding flight, on February 13. I'm
taking lessons at Lookout Mountain
Flight Park, near Chattanooga. In the picture above, I'm doing a
tandem flight. On my own, I am currently qualified to soar about 8 feet
above the ground, under the supervision of an instructor. I am almost
consistently good at taking off, and still have to learn how to land well.
This involves a lot of hiking uphill. But I am looking forward to finally
being able to launch off the mountain on my own, and really soaring.
